Interested Sponsor Information download Application  (Updated May, 28 07) Sponsor Levels Gold Level - $5,000 • The Brown County Community Foundation will create an endowed fund in the name of thesponsor/donor using $2,500 of the $5,000 level. The sponsor/donor may choose the funds' charitable intent.
• You own the bench! Ownership will be transferred to you at a gala auction event in the spring of 2008. (You may also elect to donate the bench back to the BOBC for public auction).
• You may choose to customize the Bench Design. While a design cannot involve corporate names or logos, you may work with an artist to create design themes that reflect your business or special interest. Custom designs must follow the BOBC guidelines for appropriate public display. The BOBC must approve all custom designs.
• Complimentary admission to all BOBC events
• Recognition on the bench display site plaque

Bronze Level - $1,500 • The BOBC owns the bench and the bench will be auctioned for charity at a gala auction event in the spring of 2008.

Bench Buddies - From $200-1,500 • Sponsors participating at this level will be grouped to share sponsorship of a bench. The same conditions and benefits apply as the bronze level but sponsors will share the allocated advertising and promotion space for a bench. The company's or individual's name but not logos will be listed.
Charity and Taxes The Benches of Brown County (BOBC) is a partnership project between the Brown County Community Foundation (BCCF) and the Brown County Arts and Cultural Commission (BCACC). Both BCCF and BCACC are registered 501(c) 3 not for profit organizations and your donation may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor. The proceeds from this public art project will provide financial assistance to worthy Brown County programs in education, social services, health and welfare, arts and culture and the environment. Sponsor and Artist collaboration Artists for the Benches of Brown County project will be selected by jury panel based on Bench Designs submitted, and slides or digital images of examples of their work. The artist will be awarded a $1,000 honorarium for a selected design. The number of $1,000 honorariums to be awarded will ultimately depend upon the number of sponsorships available. At least 10 are planned. Sponsors and selected artists will be paired by the BOBC committee. Some selected artists will produce their Bench Designs exactly as submitted. Other selected artists will collaborate with gold and silver level sponsors may to incorporate special sponsor themes into a custom design. All such design revisions must be approved by the BOBC. Procedure Completed benches will be placed in various outdoor locations around Brown County for public viewing. Display locations may include the sponsor location if that location is in Brown County. The BOBC committee will be responsible for transporting the benches to display locations. The BOBC committee will collect the benches from the display locations prior to a gala auction event in the spring of 2008. Copyright and Usage Ownership of any copyright or use of any likeness of any bench will reside with the BOBC partners, BCCF/BCACC. The BCCF/BCACC will have the right to photograph, videotape or record the benches relating to the promotion, publicity, and sale of items related to the BOBC. Such rights will continue after the transfer of ownership of the benches. |
